Question1- In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? (How similar is my work to real media products.) (does it challenge? does it go against the norm) The first thing we did was research and find information on the genre and style of music we felt best suited a music video. We went for the genre Pop and we went for Pop because we felt that it was the perfect genre for the type of music video we wanted to do. We found all of the common conventions of the Pop genre such as; Artists are commonly found to be wearing popular clothing for example Ralph Lauren, Gucci etc. Most Pop music is orientated around love and relationships because this is what draw the audiences in. I also feel that including popular clothes would also attract audiences as they want to have what the artist is wearing or what the artist likes because they see this is a popular brand and it looks good on the artist that they would want it t

Evaluation Question 2- How effective is the combination of the main products (your music videos) and ancillary tasks (digital and magazine advert)?

Question2- How effective is the combination of the main products (your music videos) and ancillary tasks (digipak and magazine advert)? All of our ancillary products link together through the generic conventions of the pop industry. This can be seen through the continuation of the use of the lips in the magazine advert, Digipak and the visual lips at the end of the music video. We have also continued the bright and vibrant colours throughout the products including the music video. We have done this because this attracts our target audience. We have also used the same type of text which means that audience would easily be able to notice that these all promote this specific artist. The colour purple is also a colour than links all three products together. We have done this because Charli XCX is a female artist and this would therefore attract more of the female audiences as the song is from a female perspective and would therefore be more relational to women. Our music video link

Evaluation Question 3- What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Question3- What have you learned from your audience feedback? Family-  As an individual in the group we all went away and conducted our own research and came back together again to discuss our feedback and what could be done to create the best products. I went off and conducted my own research on my family. I asked my mum, twin brother and younger brother all to review my music video. The reason I selected these family members is because I knew they would give me an honest opinion and I would also be asking a wide age range about what they thought of my video. This would then enable me to get different opinions from different age groups which would then eventually benefit me as I would then figure out how I would be able to attract all different types of audiences. The first product I asked them to review was the Music video. They all picked up on different things for example; Morgan, my younger brother, picked up on the colour schemes. He said that the colours and all of the li

Evaluation Question 4- How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Question4- How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? First, using Blogger as a tool to help us with research and planning has been very beneficial for our work. Blogger has enabled us individually and in our groups post and publish all of our work. Consisting of everything from the research, planning, ideas, rough cuts ect. This allowed everyone to publish their personal experiences with everything that have created, whether they have had difficulty or whether they have found it beneficial. Blogger also help us keep track of everything we had to do and enabled us to tick off everything that we had completed. Throughout the process of creating all of our media products we used many different technologies to make sure we had the best products we could possibly created. By using different technologies it also meant that we could also trial and error different things and different technologies benefitted us in different

Writings On The Wall- Plan B Representation- Plan B Writing's On The Wall is about a fictional character, Stickland Banks, a soul singer who was wrongfully sent to jail for a crime that he didn't commit. This song depicts his crazy life of being a sold-out singer to infidelity. Throughout the whole music video the representation of men and women is very stereotypical. This is clearly presented through the use of the woman staying at home and doing all of the house work as well as cooking. Juxtaposed to the man who is out working and having an affair. This makes the audience feel bad for the woman character as she has been spending all of her day and her hard work in making sure the food is perfect and the house is perfect for when he comes home but instead he is out being unfaithful towards her. Editing- Throughout the whole music video there isn't much editing that gives away the storyline. However, throughout the music video there isn't an eye line match betwee

Beyoncé- I AM...SASHA FIERCE Fonts used- For Beyoncé's 'Sasha Fierce' advertisement I feel the font she has gone for is a very plain type of vibe. This is very surprising as Beyoncé is a very outgoing and extravagant type of artist juxtaposed to the very understated type of font she has chosen to go for. There is also very little text on this advertisement as well as being plain however, I feel this has been done because Beyoncé doesn't need much advertising as she is one of the most successful singers in the industry. This can be seen by the use of the bold and big font for her name. This has been done so everybody knows who this advertisement is for straight away. At the bottom right of the advert, there is information telling the reader what songs are included in this album. Naming two of the most successful International hits in the world. This would automatically draw in audiences reading their advert as these songs are extremely famous, just like the artis

In Depth analysis of a video from my chosen genre- Formation by Beyoncé

Beyoncé- Formation Representation- The song Formation was created with lots of powerful meanings behind it and was written considering lots of real-life events that Beyoncé wants to draw attention to. She is one of the most successful black female artists in the world but she doesn't let that distract her from creating content that she cares about. In the video, Beyoncé can be seen sitting on a sinking police car. The police car can be seen to be sinking in the New Orleans flood caused by hurricane Katrina. The video starts with this setting, catching the attention of her audience as a voice says "what happened after New Orleans?" This voice is the voice of a woman named Messy Mya. She Was a controversial African American Social Media star from New Orleans who was shot down in the street. The shooter made a video confessing to the murder which surfaced online. He was then arrested but claimed to be bipolar, which meant that they put him in a psych ward and released hi
